5D Software has been launched in the USA so we are looking forward to the Australian release in the near future. There will be upgrade and trade-in opportunities.
The Handi-Quilter 16.6” and the Handi-Quilter 18.8” will be here soon. Many excited quilters are vying for the opportunity to see these. We are anxious to get one onto our Imperial Frame and give it a work-out.

What’s New
Alterations and Mending Service is now available with Nadia. Talk to us about your needs. Most everyday mending will be attended to and alterations will be taken by appointment
What’s been happening:
- The Overlocker workshop with Cheryl Bryant was a great success. The ladies who attended were left a little awed at the many things our new overlockers can do. We will be conducting more of these as time allows. We are awaiting the arrival of some speciality feet and once that occurs we will set a date to have another workshop.
- We had a lace doiley workshop with Anita James and this was a very successful day and the prelude to many more.
- Our learn to sew classes have been going well, I have now incorporated a ‘Meet your Machine’ lesson in the first sewing Block. Age or gender are no restriction.
- Our range of craft fabric is growing and we are happy with the response to these fabrics, some interesting Lap Top Bags and Garden quilts have been created with them.
- We are setting up a Members data base where regular shoppers will be given a Members card that puts them in the draw to win one of our monthly prizes.
- The Book Lending Library is coming along well, Orinda is busy sorting these books and entering their data into our system.
- The Quilt Expression 4.0 has been a proven seller, seems the word is out and we have been getting some great feedback from customers. Robyn Ginn has joined Michelle Hill to become one of the many happy Expression ladies.
- In-store quilting service. Quilt your own projects using our QBOT automated quilter on our great Imperial Frame. This is the way to own your quilt from beginning to end.
- The Toowoomba Hospice Craft Group is now meeting here once a month. They have to meet here because I gave them a Sewing Machine and Overlocker and no-one knows how to use them. Ha ha. Come in and join these lovely ladies as they sit, sew, crochet and knit their wonderful gifts in aid of the Hospice. Buy a bottle of their $5 Jams or Relishes while you’re here.
