Sewing Classes

Classes are open to the public regardless of machine brand, though it is advised to bring your manual with you. If you don’t have one, let us know in advance so we can be prepared for you. We have a separate room with a lovely big table (made especially for us by Mr MK’s) and a coffee corner where our ladies feel welcome to settle in for class or just hang out at other times.

Quilt with Joy has been a great success. Come to the store to see samples of most of these classes and explore the possibilities. And don't forget Sit and Sew days are held every Friday. Great morning out.

We have added some great new classes and we will be teaching the following:

CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS

Mystery fat quarter Table Runner. Expressions of interest in this will determine how far we go but Janelle is keen to take you on this class at a cost of $10 plus  fats if required. Contact us to book a spot.

Begin to Free Motion: No fear here. You‟ll surprise yourself. Free Motion Feathers – Be Amazed at the many ways you can use this traditional pattern. You must be able to free motion to do this class.

Judy’s Heirloom and Embroidery
Heirloom work will be started with a sampler and go on from there. Judy is keen to start you on this road to wonderful creations.

MK’s Class Plans
5D Software classes. These will be laptop only classes and will go for 2 hours, setting days is awkward but they may run on one Thursday and one Saturday a month.

With the start of 2012, there will be changes made but the begin to sew classes will continue and others added. We WILL revive the SMILES club and have monthly projects, there will also be a Software club, Patchwork for beginners and advanced, and much more.

17th March INDIGO NICHE SASHIKO. Colleen and Sue will conduct 2 sessions, morning for Beginners, afternoon for Advanced, I’m planning on doing both. Don’t miss the opportunity to learn or increase your knowledge of this relaxing ancient sewing art. Full of fun and new techniques.
